You’ll get a training plan that works and I am there for you along the way when you have questions or queries. My plans will lead you to achieve your goals, make the most of your time, avoid injury, promote recovery whilst challenging you to achieve better results, faster.
The impact, limitations and challenges that COVID-19 revealed lead me to implement the principles and benefits from personal training into an online service my clients can access anytime anywhere.
My programmes are custom tailored and thoughtful. I consider your goals and circumstances such as health history, capabilities, schedule and likes.
I implement the same principles used in my one on one sessions so my training programmes are an inexpensive way to experience the benefits of a personal trainer as well as offering a flexible timetable. Other ‘cookie cutter’ training programmes and ‘one size fits all’ fitness apps often show initial results however, without monitoring and fluidity people often plateau and even regress. I personally monitor my clients progress, edit where necessary and reappraise every 4-6 weeks to achieve progressive overload. Your technique is assessed via video feedback so I can critique and correct your form to minimize the risk of injury just like a personal training session. Your workouts make the most of your time, challenge you so you achieve better results faster.

How is this different from other online training programmes and fitness apps?
You have access to me, my experience and expertise. This is NOT a cookie cutter service. My online personal training programmes are tailored to your needs, your goals and to avoid injury. You are NOT left to your own devices. The online platform has the functionality to record your exercise history and compare week to week progress. You can provide feedback, upload your records and ask me questions every session. Even if you don’t correspond with me I monitor your progress to your accountability and workouts can be edited along the way if necessary. Every four to six weeks your training schedule is reprogrammed to avoid plateauing and regression.

How do I choose an online personal trainer?
Choosing the right trainer for you is a very important decision. Firstly, check what qualifications and experience the trainer has. Reaching your goals is likely to happen and happen faster if your trainer truly understands your situation and goals. You share personal details with your trainer such as your health history, personal circumstances, motivations and goals. They will also be assessing your body so choose someone you feel comfortable sharing with and who understands and respects your values. Consider recommendations from friends, family and previous client reviews.
It may be tempting to choose someone who charges less however, when you have a quality relationship with your trainer and they have proven experience and expertise you are likely to spend less overall to get the results you want and to see those results sooner.

Do I need to have equipment?
No. My programmes can remain highly effective yet exclude equipment altogether. As my programmes are tailor-made you specify what equipment (if any) you would like to utilise. My programmes can include minimal equipment (bands, dumbells etc) or a fully equipped gym. Occasionally and depending on your goals there may be instances where I recommend the use of specific equipment.
How do online personal training programmes work?
Initially we will have a phone/zoom consultation so I can understand more about you and your goals. If your situation is complex or you would prefer to meet in person this can be arranged as an alternative. Using this information I then build your training plan which is both personalized and progresses towards achieving your goals.
Depending on your level of confidence you can choose to have a one on one session with me to demonstrate various exercises and how to use the online platform. Alternatively, you can choose to have a Zoom meeting.
You will have a training plan to follow that is presented weekly and created with your lifestyle in mind. Every exercise links to a video demonstration. I am notified every time you complete a training session and you are also given the opportunity to provide feedback every session. The platform has the ability to record and track your exercise history. If something isn’t working for you or you experience a change in routine for example I can offer a variation or alternative for you.
Each week I will assess your progress and together we can decide on whether you need to adjust your programme.
Every four to six weeks your goals will be reassessed and I will recreate a new programme for you.

How much do online personal training programmes cost?
My standard (up to 3 sessions per week) online personal training programme costs $25NZD per week. If you are recovering from an injury or your goals require increased monitoring (3 – 7 sessions per week) my premium online personal training programme costs $35NZD per week. Depending on your goals the minimum subscription starts from 6 weeks.
One on one introduction sessions or testing services (online or in person in the CBD, Auckland) are available on request at a cost of $110NZD for a 50-minute session
