TESTIMONIALS
What they say about me
I had an ACL, MCL, medial and lateral meniscus repair surgery in may this year. Started my rehab with Steve in July. He is highly knowledgeable and a hands on trainer. Quite often he actually does the work out with me. We have been training together for almost 5 months now. Rehab 3 times a week and strength and conditioning twice a week. I’m already feeling stronger then before my injury and my knee has been improving consistently since day one. I couldn’t be happier with my progress and would recommend him to anyone who’s after serious training.
Steve really listened to what I wanted to achieve (1/2 marathon trail running events), pushed me to do a wider range of training and corrected my technique. I really appreciate his depth of knowledge and the way he explains why each exercise is important...it helps me stayed motivated.
I have been with Coach Stephen for a few months now and without a doubt I can say my overall fitness has skyrocketed. I needed his help to prepare for a selection course where I would be tested to my physical limits. His specific training programs helped me nail the course without injury. I can always rely on him to reply and tweak my program to fit with my schedule and how I am feeling. Can’t wait to see what else we can achieve.
I always have great work with FXV. Steve is knowledgeable and friendly. The workouts are well balanced with a range of exercises. He pushes me but still leaves me with energy to perform at my Jiu Jitsu training. Highly recommend it for injury prevention and improved performance!
Steve helped me prepare for and travelled with me to several international events over 3 years. We got my jumps and throws firing at the same time and I hit several PBs at Gotzis in 2011. I also qualified for the London Olympics and came first in the Australian Championships 2012 in Melbourne under his guidance. Steve pushed me to my limits and intuitively understood what I needed. I highly recommend him to anyone wanting to improve their performance.

How do I choose a personal trainer?
Choosing the right trainer for you is a very important decision. Firstly, check what qualifications and experience the trainer has. Reaching your goals is likely to happen and happen faster if your trainer truly understands your situation and goals. You share personal details with your trainer such as your health history, personal circumstances, motivations and goals. They will also be assessing your body so choose someone you feel comfortable sharing with and who understands and respects your values. Consider recommendations from friends and family and previous client reviews.
It may be tempting to choose someone who charges less however, when you have a quality relationship with your trainer and they have proven experience and expertise you are likely to spend less overall to get the results you want and to see those results sooner.
Before booking a session I offer a free in person, phone or zoom consultation so we can learn about each other and I can understand more about you and your goals. Call me on 0273 398 398, text or email mail@stevebuckley.co.nz to arrange a time.

How do I get started?
Call, text (0273 398 398) or email me (mail@stevebuckley.co.nz.)
We will book a consultation (via phone, zoom or in person) to understand your situation and your goals. I’ll tailor your training plan to be focused and progressive towards achieving your goals.
Each session is divided in three blocks.
Prime: Starter: Block One: Warm up including muscle activation and mobility work.
Pump: Main: Block Two: Focuses on improving goal specific training ‘qualities’ (strength, conditioning etc). Your programme is created with your lifestyle in mind and can be modified each week to accommodate unexpected variances.
Peak: Dessert: Block Three: Promotes recovery and flexibility using breathing and assisted stretching techniques to ensure your body is functioning at optimum capacity.
How many times a week should I have a personal training session?
Your commitment to two PT sessions a week will see you on track for results!
Performance is about consistency and structured training allowing you to improve daily. If you are unable to meet I provide a one on one online personal training session during your appointment slot to keep you on track.
